Repentance and purification #2

This is part 2 of the sermon series „How to break curses & how to be blessed.“ You can find the introduction to this topic here: How to break curses & how to be blessed.

1. Prayer of Repentance

Repentance consists of acknowledging your sins. You confess your own sins, the sins of your parents and / or ancestors.

You can proclaim the following points aloud, or let those points inspire your personal prayer:

• Lord Jesus Christ, Deut. 30:19 gives me a choice. This is my answer: I reject death and curse. I choose life and blessing in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you are God. You died on the Cross for all my sins, which are: fornication; adultery; unnatural sexual practices; incest; lying; idolatry, which I and my ancestors performed; Occultism; disrespect towards my parents; theft; perjury; having departed from faith; oppression and injustice against the weak and helpless; antisemitism; fleshly way of living; not having given my tithe to God; every impure word that passed my lips; desires or promises that have bound me to ungodly associations or groups
• I repent of all these things and ask forgiveness for all that I have listed.
• I submit myself to you as my Lord and Savior.
• I repent and refrain from my rebellion.
• I know that I am subject to curses because I and my ancestors have sinned. These sins have brought many consequences into my life.
• 1. John 1:9 says, „but if we confess our sins, you are thou faithful and just to forgive us our sins.“ Therefore, I ask you for forgiveness.
• My ancestors have sinned, and I am suffering the consequences of their sins. Lord, deliver me from those consequences!
• Mark 11:25 tells me, „when you pray…. and if you have anything against anyone, forgive, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.“ I make the decision now and forgive
  everyone who has hurt me and wronged me. I want God to forgive me. Therefore, I also forgive, especially……….. (list the names of all people involved).
  

• I reject
  • any connection with Satanism and occultism
  • all objects and items that have to do with idolatry, no matter if it is pagan or seemingly Christian
  • all objects representing false religions, sects and satanic practices 
  • all objects that have been used by an occultist to summon supernatural powers (even if these powers seemed useful to me at first; however, their source is a channel to transmit a curse)
  • all objects that are the expression of superstition, such as lucky charms, horseshoes, pentagrams, images of saints, prayers of (Catholic) saints, Mary, signs of the zodiac…
  • Occultism: acupressure, astral projection, hypnosis, levitation, Martial arts (invoking supernatural powers), mind control, healing by touch
  • Occultism in the field of knowledge: astrology, telepathy, claire-audience, clairvoyance, horoscopes, all sorts of mediums, Kabbalah
  • Islam, Jehovah’s Witnesses, black masses, Christian sciences, Freemasonry, Mormons, Rosicrucian, Scientology, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Yoga
  • Spiritualism (this is an occult science that believes in spirits of angels, demons and dead people having important messages to encourage or admonish us); having talked to dead people (for example in the cemetery)
  • all methods of treatment and healing by self-proclaimed healers
  • any kind of ceremony where I hurt myself with a knife or blade, so that through the blood flow and wound the magic or other things entered my body

• Some of my curses come from the fact that my ancestors practiced some of these things.
• I ask for forgiveness for all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, because Christ shed his precious blood for my redemption.

2. Targeted prayer against the consequences of these sins

You can proclaim the following out loud, or use it as a guide for your personal prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, concerning my spirit:

• Unbelief has taken up place in my life. I take authority over this spirit with the consuming fire in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Let the inward resistance to the Word of God be destroyed by the fire of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
• May the hardening of my heart be banished from my life in the name of Jesus. May my heart no longer harden before the Word of God and all its exhortations in the name of Jesus Christ.
• May half-hearted or false conversion be replaced by true conversion in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the assurance of my salvation and true peace be my portion, alongside a true conversion in the name of Jesus Christ.
• I banish all doubt with the blood of the new covenant.
• May the spirit of sleepiness at prayer times and sermons be replaced by spiritual alertness in the name of Jesus Christ.

As for my soul:

• I chase away violence, stubbornness and rage with the fire of Jesus Christ.
• May I no longer cling to possessed or bad people in the name of Jesus Christ.
  
• I destroy the spirit of revenge, slander, strife, deceit and dishonesty with the fire of Jesus Christ.
• All thoughts of blasphemy, alcoholism, prostitution and lunatism shall be destroyed with the consuming fire in the Name of Jesus Christ.

As for my body:

• I banish nervousness, inner restlessness, cramps, paralysis, physical fainting, epilepsy, and stuttering in the name of Jesus Christ.
• I cast out all demons that cling to my body in the name of Name of Jesus Christ.
